Oral Appliance Therapy is the management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) through the use of mouth device used to stent a patient’s airway. The oral appliance is similar to wearing a night guard or mouth guard.
An Oral appliance works by helping to stabilize the airway tissues during sleep. Oral appliances can be used alone or in conjunction with other means of therapy such as continuous positive air pressure (CPAP). Determination of proper therapy can only be made by joint consultation of our office and your sleep physician.
